What is Pinotherapy (Pinopressure)?
The name Pinopressure comes from the combination of the words pin – pin and presura – compression.
This is Polish manual medicine created by Radosław Składowski,MD. Pinotherapy is the bond between the conventional and unconventional methods. It combines techniques that are derived from acupuncture, acupressure, reflexotherapy, manual medicine techniques (manual therapy), various massage techniques and dry needling.
It is classified as reflex therapies, where the body's self-healing processes are used. Pinotherapy is a modern continuation of acupuncture. With the help of brass nails (called pins) and knives (executioners), certain points on the body are compressed and stimulated. An important aspect is the fact that in this method the skin is not pierced – this distinguishes it from acupuncture. Many places correspond to acupuncture points, but in pinotherapy the entire skin is stimulated (stimulated), which through the nervous system affects the internal organs.
Action of pinotherapy:
- improves digestion,
- regulates the level of hormones,
- fights headaches and dizziness.
Stimulus on the skin stimulates certain centers in the brain. Thanks to this, our muscular or ligament system receives signals from the corresponding parts of the brain, after which the accumulated tensions are relaxed. With the help of this method, it is possible to achieve satisfactory results in orthopedic and neurological diseases.
Pinopressure can be used to treat a number of conditions m.in:
- diseases of the nervous system, including any pains, e.g. head, rheumatoid, cross, migraine;
- vascular-motor disorders,
- icy limb syndrome;
- neuropathy on a demyelinating background;
- polyneuropathy (peripheral nerve damage syndrome);
- multiple sclerosis (MS);
- ischemic stroke;
- parkinsonism;
- functional disorders after some neurosurgical operations;
- functional disorders after traffic accidents;
- psychological, neurotic disorders;
- psychosomatic, psychic;
- infectious, also infectious and early stage of development of malignant tumors;
- postural defects: scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis.
